Wonder if anyone out there ever experience any problems and what it would possibly cost for parts? My renault megane started jumping and then cut out the other day, called breakdown service and they ran tests. One showed up cyclinder 2 misfire and the also random misfire. The rac driver came to tow the car to a renault dealer fo me today and when starting it he said it will need a new ignition pack.Lucky enough i have a AA warranty which will cover some of the cost, but does anyone have a clue what sort of cost i will be looking at.Only had the car 8 weeks!!

Ignition packs are not expensive. You’d pay more for the labour.
I had a ford focus and the ignition pack went….the AA towed it to a garage and it cost me about £100 for parts and labour.
The next time it went, a mechanic friend of mine told me to go but the pack from a ford dealer….It cost me £38.
i couldn’t believe how easy it was to fit…4 screws and a connecting wire.
It’s as simple as that and because the ignition pack is at the top/ front of the engine, you don’t have to get all mucky under the car.
I’d say no more than £100…..but consider DIY if it goes again.
